Remote Learning
Whilst the academy is closed, teachers at Admirals Academy remain committed to providing your child with continued learning opportunities. The primary way that we will do this is through Google Classroom (www.classroom.google.com). Your child has been provided with a login for this platform in their red books. If you are unable to access this resource, please contact the academy office and we will look to get this sorted as quickly as possible. A tutorial video on how to use Google Classroom is available here

PE Lessons with Joe Wicks

Joe Wicks the body coach is doing a 30 minute session every morning at 9am. It is a fantastic way to get active, stimulate the mind and burn energy. It is a brilliant way to prepare for the day’s learning. We would recommend that all children take part in this every day. This is especially important during the lockdown period.
Timestables Rockstars
TT Rockstars is a fun way of practising times tables. Your child will be able to log in with their usual username and then use the password ‘cat.’ They will be able to play timestable games, play multiplayer games against children across the world and even challenge their teacher!

Duolingo
Duolingo is a resource for learning languages. We have set up a classroom for each year group which can be accessed through your child’s Google Classroom

Children can also use the Libby and Borrowbox apps to download ebooks to read for a limited time.

Phonics Play
Phonics Play has made all of their resources free to access during this period. Phonics Play is brilliant website for anyone who may need to recap their phase phonemes.
