At Admirals Academy we strive to safeguard and promote the welfare of all of our children.
Due to our day to day contact with children, we are particularly well placed to observe outward signs of abuse, changes in behaviour, or failure to develop. Parents should be aware that when it appears to a member of our staff that a child may have been abused, the academy is required, as part of Safeguarding Procedures, to report their concern immediately to the Social Services.
The named professionals to whom such concerns should be reported within the academy are:-
- Mrs Bramley - Parent Support Worker
- Mrs Purvis - Head of School - Raleigh Infant Academy
All of the above can be contacted by ringing 01842 753993 or by emailing email@example.com.

Admirals Academy continues to take part in a jointly run operation between Norfolk County Council, Norfolk Police and our academy, it is called Operation Encompass. Operation Encompass has been set-up to help schools to provide support to children who have been present at incidents of domestic abuse & violence. We know that children can be significantly physically or emotionally harmed when they are involved in, present to or witness domestic violence.
The academy will receive a confidential phone call from Norfolk Children’s Advice and Duty Service before 9am (or as soon as possible thereafter) on the morning after any domestic incident which Norfolk Police have recorded where a child at our academy has been involved, present or has witnessed domestic violence.
The academy has designated Mrs Bramley, Mr Harris, Mrs Purvis and Mrs Lamb as Key Adults. Our Key Adults have received training from Norfolk County Council, to allow them to use the information that has been shared, to make sure that the right support is available for children and their families who have been involved in, or witnessed, a domestic violence incident.
We are keen to offer the best support possible to our pupils and we believe this is going to be extremely beneficial for all those involved.
